Maya Willard-Stepan

​I am a graduate student in Geography at the University of Victoria and Research Assistant with Professor Hoicka at the Social Exergy Lab. I hold a bachelors degree in Physics and Environmental Sciences from McGill University and have conducted sustainability-focused research in a variety of disciplines including geophysics, anthropology, natural resources, law, and earth-system science. My interests lie in mapping relationships between energy, environment, and society to understand how the renewable energy transition is impacting ecosystems and communities.
